Blessed

I was always fascinated by Zen Art, actually. When I first saw the books at Kinokuniya bookstore on Zen Doodling, I flipped through the pages and looked at them with awe. I thought I can never do this. This is an old art that resurface from time to time, but it suddenly spark an interest lately. My sister mentioned to me about Kraft+ August challenge that require us to create Zen doodling. As always, I armed myself with a thousand excuses but before I could say them out loud, she simply said "Do it". Hmmm......
Well, it's either I give it a try or I simply ignore it. I decided to give it a try. Once started, I just got hooked and couldn't stop. At least, I now have another background to create.

Angel of Mercy

This layout took me 5 months to complete from start to finish. When my daughter brought home her Galaxy artwork, I was so impressed I asked her to show me how to do it. That was in March. Since I was always occupied, she did the background for me. Once completed, I couldn't find any photos that is suitable enough. This photo was taken in April when we visited Korea and voila, perfect for the background. Planned to enter this in one of the challenges in May, but that fell through. Again decided to submit to another challenge in June, also kaput. In July saw a challenge that fits the theme but I was disappointed to find that the challenge was closed. My little sister saw that the linky has been corrected and quickly informed me to submit. Tonite, I shall submit and hope for the best.
I saw this blog kafescrapomama and the challenge Theme is Wings.Very apt and appropriate.

I am also entering this layout for this challenge at artasticchallengeblog where creating the background is the highlight of the challenge.
