Day 14 to 22 ~ #100daysselflovejourney

It's been so many days I've been swarmed with busy schedules in both world, at home and office; between my loved ones and juggling ongoing agendas at my work place that I wasn't capable to spare a moment at blog land. The clock never stop tickling but this very minute allow me to spend a moment filling up my blog and share my journey into every day living.

Let me continue with "Day 14 ~ Quotes"

I have actually lost track of time as I have been extremely busy at work. I don't know whether I am racing against time or I am racing for time. I am taking a short break from lunch break to go through my hundreds of whatsapp messages and this phrase really caught my attention. Just want share it. This is from one of the senders so I don't really know the origin of this image.

Days 15-18 ~ Packing

This is what is actually making my life topsy turvy right now. Packing the library is no joke and getting manual help at unexpected moment means thousands of gratitude. These are to be sent for offsite storage. Since my life has been endless packing and unpacking, I no longer grieve. I shall miss only material items, not friends.

Day 19 ~ Korean Food

Day 19 - My daughter and I miss Korea, in a way. So, she decided for us to have Korean food at #Sweetree_restaurant. These are starters actually before our orders came our way. We had a really good dinner that night. As always, Kimchi is the child's favourite and between us, there is no competition. The aubergines was mine, but the fried mushrooms and french beans were highly competed between the three of us.

Day 20 ~ Noodles

I gave myself two treats on Saturday, ie a really good facial and body treatment and Homemade Noodles at #Al_Barakah restaurant, a Chinese Muslim restaurant. The owners are from China and the noodles will only be made upon order. I have heard of this kind of noodles many times before and to be able to enjoy it first-hand is really something else. I took this photo yesterday to show to my sister @asmahzainalabidin because she loves noodles. When she comes to visit me, this is where we are going to take her and her family.

Day 21 ~ Happy Birthday Card

I am right on track now. Today, my friend celebrated his twin daughters' 5th birthday. I didn't have time to buy a card for them so creted this simple card this morning before we left for the party.

Day 22 ~ Mind Makes Words

I was going through one of my boxes of stash for another project when this little card fell of the box. I had collected this card from Kinokuniya a long time ago and forgot about it. I decided to create this CAS layout to see how many words I can create. I wonder if my mind can really makes words dance.

Having said that, I say adios for now. Till I see you tomorrow.Take care.

Cheers,

Lili Sulastri

Day 13 ~ Farewell Gift

Hi everyone!

This is for Day 13 of my ‪#‎100dayselflovejourney‬

This is the recipient of the Farewell gift from the Child. We hope Rahman will have many happy memories looking back at the album. Thank you Zahra' for taking this photo for me. Yes, the Child and her friends had a small farewell lunch with Rahman yesterday at Chilli's, KLCC. Their last get-together until such time.

Day 8 and Day 9 ~ Picture Perfect Moment and Chocolates

Hey there!
Today I'm sharing two things I love best.

Day 8 ~ Picture Perfect Moment

Day 8 fell yesterday when I was still on vacation after my getaway in Langkawi Island so I managed to get some things done around the house. In other words, I became the housekeeper all day. The finale was a cup of coffee and just relax with my tab.

Day 9 ~ Chocolates

Whenever I have cravings, I'd go for chocolates. To me, chocolates are very therapeutic. Then again, I am very selective of the kind of chocolates I eat.

That's it for today.

Day 5 to Day 7 ~ Getaway

Hello friends!
It was lovely weekend getaway for the Child and her former Tahfiz classmates (some of them only). Her dad and I and Humaira's mum, joined the trip at Payar Island, Langkawi for 2 reasons - as Chaperons and to get away from it all. I did not make any preparations at all for the trip and allowed myself to follow the flow. For me, it was a nostalgic trip reminiscent of my Geology Days and another trip I made with my little sister. So many changes has taken place actually. Should I plan to make a comeback, I shall make a full-blown preparation and maybe stay for a week. Before registering at the Hotel or Chalet, I headed to the Duty Free shop for chocolates.
All in all, I did have a good time and Payar Island really took my breathe away.

Day 5 on August 5, 2016 ~ Sunset

Getting of the Boat at Kuah Jetty and to be greeted by this beautiful sunset.
Marvelous beauty.

Day 6 on August 6, 2016 ~ An outing to Pulau Payar

This island is snorkelers heaven. Then again, swimming and snorkeling is within designated zone. To get a close-up with the fishes, feeding is allowed, at your own risk. It took us one hour of boat ride from Kuah Jetty to reach Pulau Payar. We each pay RM150 for the boat ride and I am not sure whether that is a justifiable price to pay. Anyway, as long as the Child and the father enjoy themselves in the sea, not a problem. I know the biggest challenge will be to haul the child out of the water.

Sunset at Chenang Beach

Day 7 on August 7, 2016 ~ Food for the Soul

Stepping off the ferry at Kuala Perlis around 2:30 pm, the first thing that caught our eyes was the mosque. It was such a welcoming sight. I chose the area by the window that look out to the sea. It was so calming to pray with the sound of waves breaking.

Day 4 ~ Cherish

This is my day 4 of #100dayselflovejourney.
Just a simple layout to showcase the Geology '84 Reunion.
After 31 years of being apart, it was good to meet with one another.
There were a lot of catching-up to do and most of all, the conversation was more geared towards our children.

Day 1 ~ Forever Together

I was actually inspired by my Instagram friend, Claudia's 100dayselflovejourney. I decided to embark on this journey myself and I thought of creating a 170 mm x 210 mm mini album. I know this is going to be a real challenge in itself and most of all it is going to be a test of self-endurance, self-discipline and patience. I chose to start with a CAS layout showcasing my loved ones.

This is my Day 1 Self-love Journey. I have no idea where or how the journey will take me to, but I really am going to fit the journeys into this 170x210 mm size. I guess this is the hard part.

Die-cut Border, Typo Wooden Flower, Momoyo Sentiment, Coredinations Cardstock,

This One's For The Girls

I first created this layout in late 2014 for the Black with Two challenge. I stopped midway because the layout looked so flat, with no dimensions and textures. In other words very, very unappealing.
This was the original layout.

I had the opportunity to view seriously-terhi-koskinen and learnt her textural techniques. I did not get close enough to hers because I am still a scrooge when it comes to using my supplies generously. Well, scrapbooking supplies in Malaysia is very expensive. I end-up using my left-overs from my stash hoping to add some dimensions. Still not good enough but will keep on trying.
I revisit my layout after staring at it for a little over  a year not knowing how to finish it. Using Terhi's techniques, I carefully trim out the photo from the page and cropped it tightly. I decided to go back to basic, ie CAS and give this layout the finishing touch. There is no paints being used here except a teeny bit of ink to ink the edges of the Title. I chose to handwrite my title for this layout which I am submitting to challenge-yourself  with the theme This One's for the Girls.

I chose the title of the song as the title for the layout and one of the line in the lyrics "Who love without holdin' back" to complement the page. This photo was taken in 2013 of my mum and myself.

Supplies: Bazzil Cardstock, Lace trim, Mix and match scraps pp from stash, Kaisercraft die-cut and tags, Lace flower, Micia Ink, Zigler pen, Handmade flower, Mulberry paper, Bling for flower center

Thank you for stopping by and giving your love. God Bless you.

Special

Red is my favourite colour. When the challenge at whitewith1 states White + Jester Red, this photo of myself and Atikah came to mind. This was taken during our Teambuilding session at Lost World of Tambun, Ipoh in 2014. The theme for the Teambuilding was Halloween.Well, I must say I was not really keen on the topic but played along because it is Company function. The hardest part was to get the appropriate costume.

The one item that I remember so well was the Hotel room that was about RM500 per night. Since it was a weekend, both my husband and Zahra' arrived later in the day. The two of them had their own agenda while I was with my colleque.

At Lost world of TambunSupplies: White Cardstock, Prima Annalee pp, Kaiser Butterfly and sentiment, Petaloo flowers, Kaiser Flowers, Prima lowers, Artplorations "Happy Flowers" Stencil, Kaiser "Crackle" Stencil, Printribbon (P515-041), Acryclic Paint, Doily, Prima Felt, Momoyo Brad, Tsukeniko Ink, Modelling Paste

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your love.

Wonder!

Hello to all my blogging friends.
Today the weather is slightly cooler than other days and it is gave a good time to clean my bacryard. I had been reading the papers and getting Whatsapp messages that the extremely hot weather is a very good excuse for snakes to find cooler places to cool themselves. That sort of give me the boost and incentives to take charge of my living room and backyard. Had to stop to prepare lunch. But before that, I decided to finish off my layout I started a week ago and blog it. Well, I, too, need to cool down. During the spring clean, I found my husband's long lost Bank Books. Finally! The search for his Bank Books had come to a happy ending.

Here's the layout I create for Stamplorations mixedmediachallenge. The beauty of this challenge is that the use of stencils is not confined to Stamplorations/Artplorations Stencils. Otherwise, I would go to my sister's, Asmah, house to borrow her Stencils.

Stencil Sunday #40 + April Mixed Media Challenge

Welcome to another edition of Stencil Sunday with the STAMPlorations girls in the Mixed Media design team  And because it's the first Sunday of the month, it's also time for a new Mixed Media Challenge!

Here is the layout:

Supplies: Enogreen pp, Scraps of pp from stash, Kaiser Flowers, Kaiser Stencils, Stencils from Stash, Wooden Hearts from Typo, Enogreen Embellies, Kaiser sentiment, Epxoy Sticker for Title, Gesso, Acrylic Paints, Modelling Paste, Sunlit border punch

This photo was taken at Itaewon, Seoul, Trick Eye Museum. Off course, the male partner is still non-existent and this is a big question mark for us all.

Thank you for stopping by.

Quote Journal

I am not a card person, so when my young friend had his birthday today, I decided to create this Journal instead.
The colours I used mimicked the background colors of the Quote. The elements of time play a big role in shaping our life in general so the clocks are symbolic of what we missed and what we hope to accomplish. I just love vintage cars and its presence is to indicate moving on.
I am submitting this journal to Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #23 "Dimension"

Here is my take on the challenge and the link mmm-challenge-23

Supplies : Chipboard, Pieces of Scrap Pattern Paers from stash, Enogreen Embellies, Kaisercraft  Embellies,
Marta Stewart Punch, Drywall Tape,  Bubble Wrap, Stazon Ink, Acrylic Paints, White Gesso

Thank you for stopping by.
