So Happy Always

My daugther and her cousin were born four months apart. She was born in September 1999, towards the end of the Millenium, while her cousin in January 2000, a real Millineum child.. Both belong to the Y-Generation with a touch of the Z-Generation. Both are headstrong but they both love one another to pieces.
This photo was taken during the Hari Raya Celebration in 2013 where my sister, Asmah, and her family managed to squeeze some time to celebrate with mum. It was a lovely celebration but the convergence of my siblings in one entirety is now a thing of the past. There will always be one or two siblings missing on the first day of the Eid celebration. This is just one rare moment where my sister and I were able to come together on this auspicious day.
This photo of them shows a beautiful relationship sealed since they were babies. They can be headstrong, they can throw tantrums, they can have their disagreements, deep down I know they really love and care about one another.
I create this layout for Stucksketches August 15, 2017 Challenge. I really love the simple sketch, below:

Using the colours of the dress the two girls wore that day, I came out with this simple layout:

Remember This Moment

This layout is created for the "Home and Scrap" August Use Your Stash Challenge. The theme for the challenge is outlined below:

August Prompt: STRIPS - washi, paper strips, string, ribbons or braids. Use them in straight lines, weave them, plait them, ink them, or whatever. It's time to bust some of those little straight bits of stash. If you have half a truckload of washi rolls, now is your chance to showcase some of it. Or what about those lovely strips that we cut off the ends of our patterned papers? I know I have an abundance of them. Get creative and have some fun.

I have an abundance of Strips in my stash and this is a good way of using them up or reducing their number. I love this challenge because it allows me to use my stash irregardless of makes. I really enjoy mixing and matching all the way through. Also I do not have to worry whether the papers are latest in the market or not. Most importantly, I love the design or I wouldn't have purchased them in the first place. I hope I can get away from my hoarding habits and start using.

Here is the layout. This is a  continuation of my Korean trip which I am creating an album for. I am so much behind but I hope to catch-up soon. for this layout I use up most of the strips in my stash.

Let's Go On An Adventure Together

This layout is a continuation from our 2015 Korean Trip. A rare family selfie taken from one of the wings of Kyongbok Palace. This is a C&S layout for Kaisercraft August Challenge and the theme for this challenge is COGS!

I was delighted to have the Factory 42 Collection papers which I bought two weeks ago when Spotlight was having a 30% Storewide sales. I took the opportunity to buy this collection (even though I already miles long paper collections) because I really like it. When I saw this challenge, I was thrilled to bits as I can use this collection immediately without feeling guilty.

Here is the layout for the Challenge and some close-ups. In addition to the Cogs from the Collectibles, I used Steampunk Gears as an added effect.
