It is very rare indeed to have a photo of Zahra' in a very pensive mood. She's the kind of person who always smiles or being playful and cheeky. This was taken at the race course on Sept 23, 2012 - 7 days away to her 13th birthday. She was very tensed while waiting for her turn for her 2nd Dressage Competition. After all she only had less than an hour's practice the previous day.
Using Heather Waldron's of Scrapysketches 31-13 sketch, I created this layout for WPW Challenge #20 {July} of Sketchesforyou Word Prompt Weekly Challenge. Heather creates lovely sketches at her blog. I also added this layout to Homeandscrapped, which is the siter site of Scrappy Sketches blog.
For this layout, I used Cardstock as the base, which I had not used in a while. I also used up pretty much a lot of my scraps and other items from my stash. The new items are the Art Deco pattern paper and Pop Artz Flowers which I bought on Saturday, 27th July 2013. So pretty much a mix of the old and new.
Here's the sketch:

Dreamer
This is my first entry for PurplePumpkin. I would have upload this layout much sooner but was held back by Zahra's remark of "Don't you think it's bit bare at the top?" Hmm.....on second thoughts, I knew she was right. Back to the drawing board and I added stamped images of the birds in flight to fill up the space, but not actually cluttering it.
This photo was of Zahra' at 12 years of age, taken at the Kuala Kubu Baru dam. Her dad decided to use this alternative route on our way back to my in-laws house then. The 'lake' was beautiful and for those who frequented this area before the dam would know the 'losses' incurred. I, for one, miss the river that I once went 'camping' with my sister and her family.
This layout is based on this sketch by Debbie Burns.

Top Four
Good morning my lovely friends!
After being soooo quiet for a while, I'm back with another layout. This layout is for Sketchesforyou Sketch #1 challenge. I had the sketch flipped and I think I had overdone it. This is a bit challenging for me because I am not really fond of banners. Now that I have started, I think it is not so bad after all.
This photo showed my daughter and the other Top 4 runners for the Male category. Even though I had no problems with the young men, this photo proved to be the most difficult photo shoot I did. This was because my daughter chose to be unco-operative and her body language really echoed her feelings very well. Still, she was able to flash her beautiful smile and that's all that matters. Unfortunately, I couldn't get hold of the other runners for completion.

Too Much Fun!
This layout is created for Sketchesforyou challenge. The theme is It's Summertime. Since 'summer' is all year round in Malaysia, fun is not specific to going to beaches alone. This layout showed my daughter having fun on this swing after the wedding reception. I used Frosted Design sketch - Sketch with Wings:
