Lucky

My sister, Asmah, knows that Mixed Media and I don't mix. In fact, we are not the best of friends. Yet, she never give up on encouraging and coaxing me to try my hands at Mixed Media. I told her I am just too intimidated. luckily for her, she never gave in to my trivial whines.
She showed me the 13arts blog challenge 16 - Background.

Wyzwanie #16 - Challenge #16 - BACKGROUND

Zapraszam serdecznie na nasze najnowsze wyzwanie.
You are very welcome to join our new challenge.

After reading the rules, I decided to give it a try. First I studied all the DTs work and secondly, read my Mixed Media book. Next, I gathered all the materials I need. My inspiration was from the photo of my daughter and the horse she rode during her Dressage competition. even though she did not win the competition that month, she did feel happy and lucky to ride Diablo. I really love the way she communicated with the horse. The two of them seem to have an understanding only horse lovers share.

Since green is the dominant colour, I plan to enter this layout to Berry71bleu March challenge:

Shining Star

Hi there! This is my first entry for a Russian Blog Fairy's Challenges. There seem to be linky problems at the moment and therefore I couldn't sign up as a follower and link up my entries to all these challenges. Anyway, I'll try again later.

I used Sketch No. 20 to create this layout. This sure is a challenging task as I have to use 8 tiny photos. It is tough actually. Well, fortunately for me, I captured a series of these photos of Moussa Taki who is my daughter's school mate before the start of his 400 m race where he won a Bronze Medal.

At the same, I used the Scrap Around The World March Mood Board challenge. I know my highlight is more of Green and Red more.

Here's the Fairy's Challenges sketch:

I would also like to enter this layout for Scrap Africa challenge No. 27 - Stars and Stitching. I did a little stitching at the top right of my layout and added a few stars here and there. Off course, Moussa is the biggest STAR of all.

I like the sketch very much but I didn't get around to doing a layout then.

The photo was taken by one of Zahra's friend during their school trip to Cameron Highlands last year. They were at Agro Park where this photo was taken.

Week #37 - ROAD

The theme for http://our--beautiful--world--365.blogspot.com/ is ROAD.
As we drove through the familiar route last Sunday, March 9, 2014, we were welcomed by rows and rows of beautiful flowers - pink, white and bright pink. We found out later that these flowers were imported from Japan. I am still struggling to find the name of these plant species. Well, despite the hot weather, God has been kind enough to provide us with these beauty.

Cousins - So Chic

I've been meaning ro create a layout of these two cousins but never seem to get around to doing so. This sketch by Laura really did the trick, though.

I just love the layers and as I have plenty of scraps I thought I could really put them to good use. Hopefully, I was able to tone down the busy paper a little. As such, I also use minimal embellishments for this layout.
