Jo & Kel

Both Joanne and Kelly are best friends and came to Malaysia in 2010 because Kelly had a dental appointment. Both hailed from Casino, Australia. This photo was taken at the National Mosque during one of the KL Tour we had and we took the Hop-on-Hop-Off bus. Kelly is my main supplier of Kaisercraft products and one of my favourite Scrapper.Kel's work has been recently published in Australian Scrapbook Ideas and feel free to visit her blog http://www.amothersart.com/ to view her gorgeous work.
This layout is for Colourful Creations "So You Think You Can Scrap" Round 7. The rules is getting tougher but I am enjoying the challenges and looking forward to Friday to see what's coming.
Here's the T&C for SYTYCS07 using the sketch provided.

Use the sketch below to create a layout. You MUST stay true to the sketch. You MUST use ALL of the following items on your pages:
Hand Stitching
Misting
Fussy cutting (List in the gallery what items you fussy cut)
Use these colors ONLY red, yellow, blue, & green, you are not required to use all of the colors.

Here's my take for the challenge:
Location: National Mosque, Kuala Lumpur
Supplies: Bazzil Cardstock; Coredinations Cardstock
Kaiser craft pp
Moof pp for Flowers
Decorative ribbon
Decorative lace
DMC Floss
Pink Paislee Alphas
Acrylic paint for Misting
This is my first attempt at misting and my initial thought was to purchase the Tattered Angel Mist. After much deliberation, I decided to use my acrylic paints instead. I mixed Deep Green and Yellow Ochre and use the Spray bottle to spritz. I used remnants of my Moof paper which had the flowers on it and I fussy cut the flowers. As for the photos, there was a lot of white space and I decided to fussy cut it to minimize the white space.
A great challenge because it really drove me to use misting, finally.
